Anyone remember creamed chipped beef on toast? This recipe takes it uptown, or at least to the back deck on Saturday night.

Having a great time in Midcentury!

Cocktail Pecan Pie

Mix together:

1 8-oz. package cream cheese

8-oz. container sour cream

1 jar dried chipped beef

1/2 cup finely minced green pepper

2 tsp. finely minced onion

Top with

1 cup chopped pecans sauteed in butter

Place in greased ovenproof casserole. Bake 20 minutes ant 350 degrees. May be frozen after baking.

Serve with crackers or brown bread.

Annie's note: Okay, all you calorie counters, I'm going to try it with the light version of the above and see how it turns out. Stay tuned. Also, since I hate to chop onions, I'm going to use onion powder.
